A year or so before I got pregnant with my daughter, I started doing foldforming with copper - a hot metalworking technique where you use a torch to soften sheets of metal and fold and hammer it into organic shapes. I loved the technique, but I had to stop doing it while I was pregnant because it was too dangerous, and then the brain tumor left me with a hand tremor and I ultimately decided I couldn’t go back to it. These are, I believe, the very last of the many leaves I made in 2008-2009; I might have one or two more floating around somewhere, but definitely not any pairs.
