April Roundup: still no tentacles

I got my second covid vaccination on Friday, and while I'm grateful that this one didn't take me out for a week like the first shot did, I am quite annoyed to report that I do not have any tentacles, nor a prehensile tail, nor 5G or bluetooth or any of the many other things I was told I would get. Apparently I have to settle for just not dying and helping to stop the spread of a pandemic or something. Hrmphf.

(In all seriousness: I have had covid, and I have had the covid vaccine, and while I definitely did not enjoy the side effects of the vaccine, it was NOWHERE near as bad as covid. Go forth and get jabbed!)

So, it's the end of April, I'm starting to feel almost back to my pre-covid normal, and I'm alternating between working in the garden (PLANT ALL THE THINGS!) and working on the kitchen renovations (REPAIR ALL THE THINGS!) and the workbench (WIREWRAP ALL THE THINGS!). Homeschooling is also going really well and we're going to keep doing it for the foreseeable future - kiddo is much less stressed without all the noise of a classroom around her when she's trying to work, and that alone makes it worth the interruptions to my workday.

I put 20 new pieces up on the website last week, and quite a few of them are still there since I kind of forgot to promote that fact. Ooops. There are also two of the "if you can't grow your own tentacles, store-bought is fine" necklaces still available from last month, if you too are dismayed by the absence of additional limbs following your own vaccinations. I seem to be very into making bracelets and necklaces at the moment, plus I'm mildly obsessed with combining labradorite and blue tourmaline or labradorite and tanzanite.

Looking ahead to May, I'm going to tentatively plan to resume livestreaming - I think my lungs are behaving well enough that I can attempt talking for an hour or two at a time now - as well as an Instant Gratification session once a month or thereabouts. Commissions are also open - I have a couple of pieces in the queue that I'm hoping to finish this week, so the queue isn't terribly long at the moment.

(I think. I may have misplaced/forgotten a couple of requests? The brainfog is still pretty bad, so please please PLEASE feel free to poke me if you asked me about something and haven't heard back recently.)

Lastly, I will leave you with this series of photos from dinner a few nights ago:

 GIVE FISH TO SMOL PANTHER.
GIVE FISH IMMEDIATE.
NO GIVE FISH? FINE.
SMOL PANTHER DO A MURDER.
SHOULD'VE GIVEN FISH TO SMOL PANTHER.
WALK AWAY, HUMAN.
THIS NOT CONCERN YOU.

(Smol Human is fine, although she spent the rest of the night spitting out bits of cat fur and complaining that cats have a bad flavor. Smol Panther is still sulking and plotting our death.)
