20 new shinies just landed on the website, including the first batch of pieces using the new weaving and coiling techniques that I've been experimenting with this month.
I’m also experimenting with waiting to put the clasps onto bracelets until after they’re purchased; I’ve been doing this for years with necklaces and really like it because it lets me custom size them for people rather than arbitrarily picking a size.
It’s a bit harder to photograph bracelets with long pieces of wire sticking out at either end, but I’m starting to get the hang of it, and it’s worth the minor inconvenience to be able to be more size-inclusive.
(This first batch has several bracelets that are on the larger side because I wasn’t paying enough attention to the length as I was working; in the future I plan to keep the center portion short enough that any bracelet can be sized to any length between 6 and 12 inches.)
Looking ahead, I have some neat new stuff planned for March - I’m working on a new line of shinies using vintage costume jewelry components with shimmery UV resin in the bezel cups, and beautiful hand-dyed silk ribbons from an indie fiber artist are coming soon as well.
And lastly, if you need a something peaceful and pretty to watch as a distraction from, well, everything... here's my latest TikTok video, which is three minutes of me re-stocking the Box of Happiness yesterday.
