Monday Morning Roundup: summer vacation edition

Actual photo of artist (right) on the first day of summer vacation. Not shown: coffee.

Gooooooooood morning! The short person is out of school for the summer, and chaos reigns at WS HQ. (Much stubborn. Many caffeine. Very argue. Wow.) I have delusions of carrying on as normal with work on the weeks when she isn't at some sort of camp; it remains to be seen whether there is enough caffeine in the world to make that happen.

It's been a while since I've done one of these, so let's recap a few things of note from the past month:

  • Lots of new shinies! Basically, there's new stuff every day, except when there isn't, and some of it sells right away and some of it doesn't? You can always see the latest still-available pieces right here.

  • It's June, which means it's Pride month! Uh, if you didn't already know WS is owned by a disabled Jewish lesbian I'm really not sure what to tell you. You don't need to worry about catching gay cooties though, there's a strictly enforced no-licking-the-shiny-rocks policy in place.

  • Relatedly, here's this year's Pride design: love is love

  • Also relatedly, transfolk can get a deeply discounted or even free shiny; there's still more than $300 left in the fund so please don't hesitate to make use of it if money is tight. Details here!

  • May's Earring Club involved a bit of stone enabling education, featuring fluorite, which doesn't photograph well and thus has never sold well despite being really really pretty and fascinating. I have something similar up my sleeve for July, so you might want to consider signing up now; you'll get the June shipment for just $5 and then in July you will get something very awesome. JUST SAYIN'.

...and now if you'll excuse me I need to go find out why my child isn't wearing pants.
