Studio Soup Grab Bags
Studio Soup Grab Bags
When I did my annual studio cleanup a few weeks ago, I decided to go through my many, many, many boxes and bags of beads and other craft supplies that I've accumulated over the past decade. I put a big plastic storage bin in the middle of the floor, and anything that didn't sing to me anymore got tossed in the bin.
It was half full by the time I finished. I could barely lift it. I stirred it up and scooped it into and now I'm sending them out in the world to find new homes.
The bin contained a mixture of beads (glass, stone, crystal, wood, pearl, shell, bone, metal, plastic, polymer clay paper) along with tumbled stones, large flat glass marbles, round regular marbles, vintage watch mainsprings in paper packets, agate slices, tiny tarot cards and decoupaged postage stamps, found objects, vintage and modern costume jewelry both broken and intact, bits of lace and ribbon, scraps of wire and chain, findings, sculpted leather thingies, brass and copper sheet cut into various shapes and textures, pieces of broken electronics, cabochons, fused glass, keys, broken glass, random screws and bolts and other hardware, sea glass, driftwood, branches and bark, seeds, sea shells, beach stones, small glass bottles, and any number of other things, some of which caused me moments of serious "WTF???" when I found them. (Also cat hair. Almost definitely some cat hair.)
Each 3" x 4" bags contains one generous soup ladle (as seen in the video) full of random stuff, and each bag weighs about 5 ounces. I make no guarantees about the contents of any given bag - you pay your money and you take your chances, no refunds or exchanges. I took photos of both all the bags piled up together plus the contents of three individual bags so you can get an idea. Consider it an adventure crossed with cheap entertainment! There are 64 available, and when they're sold out, they're gone - this is the most random destash mix I've done so far and it'll be another ten years or so before I can do another one on this scale.
I can fit up to 7 bags into a flat-rate priority box. I can't be certain that everything in the bags will make it through customs without being confiscated in some countries, so this is a US-only item, sorry, international folks!
If you want to order eight or more grab bags and/or a combination of destash boxes and grab bags, please contact me for a shipping rate - my cart system CAN NOT accurately calculate rates for the more expensive larger flat-rate boxes. Thank you!
