Everything Rusts, Even the Stars (#3)
Everything Rusts, Even the Stars (#3)
Nantan meteorite, silver wire, five tiny conflict-free rough black diamonds, and impermanence.
The Nantan fall was recorded as occurring in 1516, but the meteorites in the strewfield were mostly ignored until 1958 when an iron shortage in China prompted government scrutiny.
PLEASE NOTE: there is significant nickel content in Nantan meteorites. I’ve wirewrapped this in such a way that very little if any of the meteorite will touch the skin of the wearer, but if you are have a severe nickel sensitivity, you may want to consider only wearing this over clothing and/or coating the back of it with clear nailpolish periodically.
