Green goldstone bracelet
Green goldstone bracelet
On Bluesky today I was talking about goldstone and how I rarely use it because it’s an absolute nightmare to photograph, and I dug up a photo of a green goldstone bracelet from 20 years ago to show how much worse it used to be. And then on a whim I rummaged through the Bowl of Doom to see if I happened to still have any of those beads, and it turned out I did. So I decided to have a go at recreating the bracelet.
Digital cameras have come a LONG way in 20 years, but in order to get something semi-accurate I had to completely blow out the exposure and turn the saturation WAY up, and it’s still not as pretty in the photo as it is in real life.
…I nailed the wirework, though. 😆 It’s a bit less sturdy than my current work tends to be - these days I’d normally add one more pass of wirework to improve the structural integrity - and the bead has been rattling around in the Bowl of Doom for 20 years and is a little chipped on the back in one spot, so plan to be gentle with this one.
The last photo is of the bracelet from 20 years ago; the rest are of the bracelet I just made, which is the one you will get. The second-to-last photo is of the bead.
As always, my bracelets are custom-sized and this one can be any length between 4 and 10 inches; please specify desired length below. [how to measure]
