Have You Seen The Moonlight?

I've been holding onto this maple leaf for at least a year, maybe more, trying to decide what I could make it into that could do justice to the beautiful patina. Today I wrapped it in vines of antiqued silver wire and scattered a handful of tiny baroque white pearls and faceted moonstone beads like dewdrops in the moonlight.

This is a big pendant! It's a real leaf, electroplated in copper and then dipped into silver which I carefully darkened to a rainbow-grey patina. The moonstones do have hints of blue and rainbow flash in the right light.
