Patterns Within Patterns #9

I thought this was astrophyllite when I bought this, but it turns out I was wrong - it’s afedsonite, which is often mistaken for astrophyllite, or sold as blue astrophyllite. Either way, it’s an uncommon stone, and absurdly hard to get the thin streaks of blue fire to show up in photos... but if you gravitate towards  stones in the feldspar family (labradorite, moonstone, larvikite) or things like obsidian and onyx, you’ll probably like this!
