Stories from the Edge of the Sea

I’ve been eyeing “mystic kyanite” for a while now - in the jewelry trade, “mystic” can generally be translated as “we took this stone and we did something to it” - usually an iridescent coating, but sometimes also dyeing. In this case, it’s a little bit of option A and a whole lot of option B - as far as I can tell, they’re dunking blue kyanite into a red dye bath, which results in some glorious shades of purple and pink. In any case, it’s GORGEOUS, and I am having to resist the urge to hoard all of it for myself.
