I love nestling rough opals into acorn caps - it’s such a perfect combination. This opal is a rich warm yellow with flashes of mostly red fire (although lots of other colors show up too) and I accented it with garnet, tourmaline, citrine, and hessonite. The wire is the newer pale gold brass, which is VERY close to the tone of 14k gold - like all my wire, it’s enamel-coated to prevent tarnishing and skin reactions. 

This piece is made with a real acorn cap and an opal - handle it gently, store it in a secure place when it’s not being worn, don’t sleep with it on, and PLEASE don’t wear it in the bath, shower, pool, ocean, or at the gym!
