As I was leaving the bead show, I spotted some absolutely SPECTACULARLY GORGEOUS low-grade faceted rubies. While they’re technically not very good stones, I loved all the color variation in the strand - everything from soft mauve and pink to deep red and a few that are almost purple. So Claire got to play with rubies for the first time ever today, to her great delight.
