On one of my last buying trips to NYC I grabbed what I thought was a bag of crystal beads… but it turned out to be a bag of old new stock crystal necklaces. Some were broken and those I’ve taken apart to salvage the crystals, but there were quite a few that were perfectly wearable.  I’ve gone over them and tightened up any loose links, and I’d love to see them find new homes where they will be worn and loved instead of gathering dust in my studio.

Vintage AB crystals have a depth of color and sparkle that you just don’t see in newer crystal beads. They’re really gorgeous and pictures don’t do them justice.

They are base metal of unknown composition, although they don’t seem inclined to tarnish easily and I’ve worn one with no issues or discoloration. My best guess is that they are from the 1960s but I might be off by a decade or two in either direction. 

They measure approximately 16” with 2” of larger links at the back so they are adjustable from 16” to 18”. (If you love them but that’s too small for you, ask me about the possibility of buying two and having me splice them together - any unused portions of the second one could potentially be turned into a bracelet or earrings.) They are lightweight and very, VERY sparkly.
