Calling Fire #1

Glorious dark red and gold fire sparkles out of these Ethiopian opals. They are enhanced (smoked, which means they were wrapped in smoldering paper to darken the color of the stone) but the colors are amazing and there’s even a bit of the less-common snakeskin patterning on these two beads. I have a very similar pair of earrings that I wear constantly - they go with just about anything.
